Assistant Accountant

Our client runs two independent primary schools in London. They aim to provide a first-class traditional education, with a focus on developing a positive attitude to learning, at the lowest sustainable fees.

They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to work in their small Head Office near Ladbroke Grove. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the organisations financial records and will also assist the CFO with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, termly management accounts and year end schedules for the auditors. The post-holder will also be expected to assist in the office with answering the phone and other general office duties.

The role would suit either a qualified AAT/Part Qualified Accountant or someone able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. The right candidate will be a friendly, professional and motivated individual with excellent communication and IT skills especially Excel. Knowledge of Xero and Engage School MIS would be an advantage, with an analytical and methodical approach.

Once established in the role it may be possible to work from home for up to 2 days per week.
