Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a leading national healthcare charity to recruit for an Interim Head of Finance to lead their finance team. This is a 6 month contract to start in July, with hybrid working from their London office and also remote working. The organisation provides specialist healthcare for all families that need support. Their nurses work alongside people and their families, giving them the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions they need, and that can be hard to find elsewhere.

As Interim Head of Finance you will report in to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services and play a key role in supporting the executive function, developing business planning and financial strategies for the charity. The purpose of the role will be to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting activities which will include reviewing and strengthening processes, implementing accurate accounting, reporting and shaping financial controls and thinking creatively to propose and implement improvements to the charity's finance administration. Importantly the post holder will have primary focus on ensuring all financial management is effective which will include team management to motivate and lead the finance team.

We are looking for a collaborative, experienced and hands on finance leader who has experience of managing a successful finance function within the charity sector. A fully qualified finance professional, with relevant post qualification experience, you will bring excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities alongside outstanding communication and relationship building skills. Critically, you will demonstrate collaborative behaviours to influence and support a range of stakeholders at all levels and have significant experience in managing and developing appropriate financial strategies, business planning and operational implementation ensuring the sustainability and impact of the charity on a long-term basis.
