Hours: 37 Hours Per Week / 52 Weeks Per Year
Salary: Management Salary Scale points 44-46:£44,626 - £47,347 gross per annum
The College
We are a large College with a rich heritage going back more than 125 years.
The College is in the midst of a host of exciting new developments including the complete redevelopment of the College’s Victoria Building which opened in 1888 and the redevelopment of the College’s Motor Vehicle facilities to respond to changing industry demands. An extensive redevelopment of the College’s Sixth Form has already taken place, culminating in the opening of Blackburn Sixth Form in September 2021.

The Role
As a key member of the Centre’s Leadership Team and one of a team of managers within the College you will report to the Assistant Principal: Further Education in the high quality leadership and operation of the Technical School which includes the Construction and Motor Vehicle Centres. You will be responsible for the leadership and the efficient and effective running of all aspects of your School.
You will provide strong academic planning and operational leadership at School level within the Centre and have specific responsibility for developing and overseeing educational, scholarship and professional practice across the School.
What we are looking for
You should have a relevant UK honours degree or NARIC equivalent and a recognised teaching qualification at Level 4 or above. You will also have a relevant professional qualification at Level 3 or above in a relevant curriculum area.
You must have a track record of successful curriculum management in a relevant curriculum area and proven experience and understanding of how to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment
You must be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and experience of current FE curriculum developments, funding and priorities, and understanding of all types of provision within the area including classroom based, apprenticeships, traineeships, NEET and commercial provision.
Experience of successfully implementing T Levels is desirable .
