Teaching Assistant needed Bootle Primary School
Your new company
A fantastic primary school in Bootle are working with Hays Education in order to find an excellent Teaching Assistant to join their classroom support team for September 2022.
The school were ranked 'Outstanding' on their most recent OFSTED report and they are a two form entry school.
Your new role
The successful candidate will join the school at the start of the new school year in September 2022.
It will be your role will be split between mornings where you work as a general Teaching Assistant, and afternoons where you will work with a child 1:1. In this role you will expected to be able to work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis in order to best help the classroom teacher.
You will work as a part of a team along with the classroom teacher and one other teaching assistant. Therefore the ability to work cooperatively is essential.
The school are looking for a qualified teaching assistant who is also trained in Read Write Inc. There will be a strong focus on phonics for this role so a specialist would be desirable.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for the role, you must:
- Have recent and relevant experience working with children aged 5-11.
- Ideally have a Level 2 or above relevant qualification for a teaching assistant.
- Be trained in Read Write Inc.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
