Production Manager

Location: Kenilworth, Warwickshire

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Proserve have an exciting opportunity available for a Production Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

Proserve provide extensively engineered construction solutions for controlled concrete placement underwater. As our Production Manager, you will proactively manage production and the production team ensuring effective co-ordination of resources and work allocation and flow, focusing on making the operation as efficient as possible.

What you will be doing as our Production Manager:

• Organise production of the fabric formwork to achieve delivery dates and quality standards.
• Day to day line management of the production operatives, including completing training, health and safety and daily workload assignment.
• Work with the Commercial Director and Engineering to review projects prior to starting production, contributing to production engineering to improve control and efficiency of the production process.
• Ensure sufficient materials are available for production by completing stock takes, planning material usage and liaising with purchasing.
• Organise production process to ensure efficiency and highest levels of quality can be achieved.
• Produce the production programme and ensure adequate levels of resources, equipment, tools, and materials to meet production needs. Identifies any shortfalls and makes the business case to the Directors for overcoming these.
• Contributes to the design of and implementation of quality procedures and monitors their effectiveness.
• Manages day to day fabrication of the production programme, including initial review of fabrication design with the Engineering function to propose modifications to facilitate production.
• Continuous improvement of the production process adhering to ISO9001.
• Undertake any other production related tasks as and when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience managing a team.
• Previous experience in a production environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and create plans for production.
• Strong time management skills, ability to work to deadlines.
• Good communication skills and experience of planning and prioritising tasks.
• A good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety in a production environment.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and involvement in process improvement.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• High levels of attention to detail and experience of quality assurance.
