Geography Teacher - Secondary- full-time- Crawley- September start
Are you a UK qualified teacher of Geography who holds QTS or QTLS?
HAYS Education is looking for a Geography Teacher to work in one of our partnership schools in Crawley, West Sussex. The school is centred in central Crawley and houses roughly 1500 pupils. This school has a Christian ethos, is well organised and a good Ofsted school.
Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers high-quality supply teaching service, helping Schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies. We are dedicated in finding you teaching work to suit your needs and availability whether you are a Geography teacher wanting the flexibility of short-term work or the security of a long-term role.
Within a Geography role you will need to combine your professional experience and skills to teach a varied and stimulating Geography curriculum to key stage 3 and 4.
Responsible for ensuring the effective teaching and learning of these pupils, you will need to be confident in planning, preparing and assessing pupils' work as well as able to work as part of the teaching team. To be considered for Geography teaching, you must demonstrate:
* Recent experience of teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 an 4.
* Be able to provide references covering the last two years
* Have Qualified teacher Status or be a Newly Qualified Teacher
* Flexible
* Excellent subject knowledge
* Reliable
* Strong planning and general teaching skills
* Confident
* Motivational
* Excellent behaviour management techniques
* Positive
* Enthusiastic for the educational and personal development of pupils
* Ability to build good rapport with pupils and colleagues
