Description
The starting salary for this role is £32,173 per annum is based on a 36 working hour week. This position is offered as a fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity until 31st March 2023.

You will work closely with the Inclusion and Additional Needs (IAN) Team to monitor, record and report on the expenditure against budgets. You will maintain accurate records on the financial impact of the IAN team's work activities, in particular work on the Coming Home Project. You will ensure the effective tracking and monitoring of expenditure and savings within the Individual Pupil Support Budget (IPSB) and other budgets.
In this role you will work with the Coming Home, Commissioning and SEND Managers to deliver clear and insightful reporting and analysis of expenditure throughout the planning and reporting cycle. You will be a key point of contact for the wider finance team as you take information from SEN Finance, adapting it for the services and work with Corporate Finance to gather the data.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be able to express opinions and information clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Be able to communicate financial insights and options effectively with a non-finance audience
- Have strong business acumen
- Be able to act as a partner in decision making, offering financial insight and a pro-active in-depth consideration of risk
- Be actively studying for Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent qualification
- Have knowledge and understanding of public sector financial issues and best practice
- Be able to work successfully in a professionally independent and autonomous manner
- Have knowledge of and proficiency in use of IT within a finance environment
