Description
Contract Monitoring Officer
Salary: £30,095 - £33,486 per annum.
A vacancy has arisen for a Contract Monitoring Officer within Child and Family Services.
This post may suit applicants with experience or knowledge of children’s social care services. The successful candidate will have a key role in ensuring the children open to social services receive the service they need.
It will involve ensuring contract compliance, monitoring provider performance, reviewing a variety of data sources, and undertaking visits to services to ensure the appropriate standards are being delivered. The candidate will regularly be required to investigate issues and complaints about services raised by children and professionals and seek resolutions to problems. The successful candidate will be occasionally expected to support brokerage officers in sourcing a range of services to support children, especially those with very complex needs.
The post will have a focus on the accommodation needs of looked after children and care leavers, as well as a number of community-based services which are commissioned to support children open to a social worker. However, this will be a varied role which means the successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across a number of service areas to address prevailing Child and Family Service priorities.
The post will involve working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across social services, Education, the Health Board and independent sector. The ability to negotiate and influence others is important to these roles and candidates must be able to develop positive working relationships. Strong interpersonal skills will be required of the candidate appointed to this post.
