A pioneering tech company with world-leading haptic and tracking technology are looking for a Technical Product Owner and a Product Owner to join their Bristol team. The business is backed by huge investment with 175+ employees globally; the last year has only accelerated their product roadmap and they’re in an optimal position to be growing the team further. Their technology is used in a variety of fields including VR/AR, spatial computing, immersive 3D experience, automotive, entertainment, medical/healthcare and more.

What you’ll be doing
As Technical Product Owner, you will work alongside the UX, QA and engineering teams focusing on a variety of product verticals being the go-to-person to ensure priorities are set, representing the engineering team, and bridging the gap from strategy to build, translating requirements through product launches. You will represent the commercial view into the tech team, what the value is, ensuring that the customers voice is brought to reality and translating into the product roadmap.

The right person will be adept at working in an Agile product-based organisation and possess robust business analysis skills such as managing and prioritising the backlog, writing user stories, acceptance criteria and documenting requirements, whilst having a continuous improvement mentality and contribute to the evolution of best practice throughout the department and ensure that the customers voice is being brought to reality and translated into the product roadmap.

What experience you’ll need

• As Technical Product Owner, you will have direct experience as a Technical Product Owner, ideally being hands-on with development.
• For the Product Owner position, it’s essential to have previous experience working on complex technical products with a strong user focus.
• Ability to translate product concepts and ideas into functional requirements.
• Running stand-ups and workshops, being the voice of the customer and the end user.
• Previous experience leading the build, launch and maintenance of Digital Products or Services.
• Superb stakeholder management and ability to work cross functionally.
• Comfortable operating in an Agile Product environment.
• A passion for various web technologies and cloud-based platforms.
• Superb Business Analysis (BA) skills such as writing user stories, acceptance criteria and documenting requirements.
• Data analysis from collection to conclusion.
• Personable, positive, and pro-active personality.
• Experience in computer vision, MI, haptics and/or virtual reality/VR would be beneficial but is not essential.
