Academics are supporting a small and friendly Primary School in Colchester, Essex who are in the process of securing a passionate Learning Support Assistant for September 2022.

What does the role involve? The main aim is to support our teachers to deliver high quality learning experiences for all of our pupils and enabling their Light to Shine.
- Responsibilities may vary although generally you will be working 1:1 with individuals who display additional needs
- This may involve working with students who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and learning difficulties
- You will be expected to support students in both an academic and social capacity
- Working collaboratively with outside specialists, adopting a multi-agency approach
- (ie. Working alongside the Speech and Language Therapist to develop tailored interventions)
The school has a good track record of ensuring the academic and pastoral development of all individuals. Their work with students with special educational needs has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
To be eligible for this role you must:
- Must hold Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and learning or Degree
- Hold a current DBS
- Have experience working with children
- Have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and;
- Have Fantastic time management and organisational skills
