Description

In Deals we solve the important problems that stand in the way of value being created, sustained, realised or protected for our clients – working together to aid responsible recovery and growth.

Working on iconic deals with national and global clients, we put together major mergers and acquisitions and resolve business crises - from international take-over bids to financial crime investigations and cases of insolvency.

We draw upon our deals experience across many industries to support and partner with our clients, to positively impact society and the communities in which we operate.

About usOur Business Restructuring Services (BRS) practice is the largest restructuring practice in the UK operating from 23 offices. Within our newly mobilised Cardiff BRS team, we’re launching a dedicated Internal project support team. Join us, and you’ll be part of a team with exciting growth prospects, looking to do things differently.

About the role

You’ll be working internally with our BRS team primarily within our Client Cash Management Service team (‘CCMS’). The CCMS team is a BRS team that is responsible for the management and control of financial transactions and reporting for over four hundred insolvent cases.

You may also be responsible for making sure that our client projects run smoothly, supporting essential clerical tasks.

This role will give you access to a wide variety of colleagues from different backgrounds, so is a great way to integrate into the team and get familiar with the diverse range of client services that we provide.

You’ll be:

  • Managing customer service relationships with banks

  • Responsible for cashiering duties

  • Responsible for inputting into KPIs

  • Monitoring budgets, plans and fees - updating for forecast and actuals

  • Working with our Google suite to set up various report templates and internal shared working folders and governance structures

  • Inputting senior team comments, and proofreading to make documents ‘client ready’

  • Designing and formatting reports, ensuring output is cohesive and professional

  • Completing essential risk and quality tasks - both appropriate onboarding of clients and ongoing risk management for current clients

We empower people to determine their own career path. Whatever your ambition, we will support your learning and development, within one of the world’s leading professional organisations.

Essential skills:

  • Sound organisation skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise deadlines

  • Proactive and positive attitude

Desirable skills:

  • Familiarity with bookkeeping (although required skills can be taught on the job)

  • Evidence of risk awareness and working in a controls orientated environment

  • Familiarity with Google suite a bonus, but not essential

Where will you be working?

Your office location will be Cardiff. It is envisaged this role will largely be based at your home office, however, there may be occasions when travel is required to meet with the wider BRS team.

With an increasingly agile workforce, we're open to flexible working requirements and have many successful arrangements currently in place that flex from the standard 5 day week. We’re very open to discussing this further at interview stage.
