SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistants required in Rugby, full time starting from the new academic year!

Your new company
You will be working with Hays Specialist one of the largest market leading agencies as a Behavioural SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be working with a Primary school in Rugby on a permanent basis teaching Year 3 mainly, full time starting asap. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working with pupils with learning difficulties and special needs.

You will be working alongside a school who is supported by the community in all ways. They have enrolled over 250 students so far and ongoing. They provide a warm atmosphere and positive environment for all children as well as the staff. You will be joining a school who will work hard to provide all the children the best education they deserve with a hardworking and committed team. The school is easily accessible from both Coventry and Southam and offers onsite parking as well as ample parking in the schools surrounding areas.

Your new role

• You will be working daily starting at 8:45am and finishing at 3:15pm a week.
• You will start on a temporary basis with opportunity go permanent for the right candidate.
• Support the classroom teacher, as well as help delivering lessons to the child you are supporting.
• You will be working with SEN children who will be aged 7-8 with learning difficulties mainly those with challenging behaviour.
• You will be assisting with the students learning levels to ensure they are not left behind, engaging them in every manner as well as listening to them.

What you'll need to succeed
Successful candidates should ideally be level 2 or level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants or have equivalent experience of at least 40 days minimum with children preferably with behavioural SEN children in a classroom. You will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbally to be able to support the children or child you are supporting effectively. You must be passionate about working with children on a 1:1 basis and understanding of their needs whilst remaining calm.
