Cover Supervisor - Southampton - September starts

Academics are supporting a Secondary school in the Southampton area in securing Cover Supervisors to start full time, temp to perm and permenant roles for September start dates.

They are seeking experienced and hard working Cover Supervisors with a keen interest in developing their skills in teaching.

This is a great opportunity for a graduate or an unqualified teacher looking to get into teaching and wants to build up their confidence in the classroom - delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.

You will be required to work in various classes across key stage 3 and key stage 4, covering lessons across the curriculum.
In the circumstances of a school needing a Cover Supervisor, the Class Teacher would have planned the lesson and you will be given all of the tools and support to deliver the lesson and keep pupils engaged.
You will likely be covering teachers who are on PPA/sickness cover and general cover across the school.

The ability to manage behaviour effectively and following school guidelines and procedures is paramount to work in this school.

Suitable candidates must be available 5 days a week term time, have the ability or willingness to teach all subjects is desirable. Also having your own transport would be beneficial.

Cover Supervisor - Southampton - September starts

Candidates will:

• Have a degree and/or relevant experience of working in a school setting.
• Have recent experience of teaching or supporting in a classroom in the UK.
• Be able to show good behaviour and classroom management skills.
• Be Southampton based or happy to travel into Southampton.
• Be happy to cover classes across the curriculum in both key stage 3 and 4.
