Prospectus are pleased to be partnering a Social Enterprise who exist to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, with good people around them, and have a fulfilling purpose. With one of their focus' being in Justice, they work with young people and adults in custody and in the community to provide a range of services that provides effective support mechanisms and intervention to help their service users desist from crime and reach their true potential. They are now looking to recruit a Custody Case Officer, initially on a temporary basis for a 4-6-month period.

As a custody case officer, you will be coordinating, monitoring, reviewing and delivering sentence plans for all sentenced prisoners and providing them with the support they need for their successful transition to a training establishment and/or from custody to an offending free future in the community, providing end to end management. You will work directly with a caseload of prisoners, assessing their risk and needs, prepare and maintain appropriate records, information and reports and complete a range of Offender Management tasks such as basic Custody Screenings, Parole Reports Recall risk assessments, and Bail reports. You will also be providing the prisoners with a range of reducing reoffending interventions, whilst working closely alongside internal and external partners including, the National Probation Service (NPS), Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRC) and Police.

To be considered, you will have previous experience or an understanding of providing support to a caseload of vulnerable Individuals. You will have Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System, OASys, report writing and assessing risk, as well as having the ability to work on an inter-agency basis. You will have good organisational, communication and administration skills, while being able to demonstrate empathy with those suffering discrimination and disadvantage. Finally, you will have the ability to contribute to ongoing assessments of the support needs of under-supported vulnerable people and to provide appropriate advice and support to them.

To be considered you must already hold relevant Ministry of Justice vetting clearance and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS (Adults) issued within the past year, or registered to the online update service. You must also be available immediately or with 1 weeks' notice period.
