THE ROLE
The Director, Global Marketing, Brand and Belonging is a leadership role, the purpose being to direct a marketing strategy and function that drives student, member and wider stakeholder engagement globally, in parallel with the brand strategy. A member of the COO Management Team, the Director will contribute to the delivery of the business's Strategic Plan and the Department's objectives. Responsibilities include:
- Leading on the development and implementation of a global marketing strategy with associated budgets, plans and business led KPIs
- Increasing audience engagement for all student and member journeys to improve experience and satisfaction levels
- Creating stronger student engagement to improve the pipeline into membership by stakeholder engagement, student experience tracking, supporting student societies and undertaking data analysis, working closely with the MDs and the COO
- Defining and leading innovative and measurable approaches to the marketing and promotion of designations and all routes to membership, as well as the commercial and member value services
- Building strong relationships with MDs and Directors to ensure opportunities are acted upon, issues are identified, and operating models are adapted where necessary
- Strengthen and protect the internal and external brand, what it stands for, how it's perceived and how it presents itself, ensuring it maintains the desired qualities needed for premium positioning
- Understanding the micro and macro environments in which the organisation operates in relation to the marketing strategy and use the insight to inform strategy and plans.
The Director will also lead, enable and drive marketing campaign excellence and overall campaign activity planning across the team, attract a diverse pipeline of new students into the profession through effective marketing, develop and communicate appropriate reporting of marketing activity and value, focusing on global and departmental KPIs, ROI and resource allocation. S/he will build a high-performance culture and working environment that attracts and retains talent.
