Description

Systemic Family Psychotherapist

Our client are looking for individuals who are flexible, responsive and passionate about supporting recovery to children and young people who have been affected by child sexual abuse, and who are excited to work with their team supporting their beliefs and values.

This role will form part of the senior leadership team within the organisation. They are a medium sized charity and the chosen provider of early intervention therapy sessions to children and young people affected by child sexual abuse across Nottinghamshire and the Children and Young People Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (CHISVA) service. They are also a provider of therapeutic services to children and young people affected by domestic abuse in Nottingham City.

You will be part of an established team, including creative arts therapists, CHISVA’s and their experienced business support team, and will be afforded many different opportunities to use your skills, including direct work with children and families: undertaking assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, working alongside schools and partner agencies, delivering training, providing consultation within and outside the service, work with family and professional systems, developing service models.

They welcome creative and innovative ways to deliver services. You will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing access to management and clinical supervision and many other exciting development opportunities.

They particularly welcome applications from those communities who are currently underrepresented within their teams and want their recruitment practices to be as inclusive as possible. They are committed to promoting equality and diversity and developing a culture that values differences, recognising that employees from a variety of backgrounds and individuals with lived experience, bring important and positive contributions and can improve the way they deliver services. This is demonstrated within Imara through their diversity working group, their team of diversity champions and their commitment to providing culturally sensitive training to the team.

• To provide the lead on systemic approaches within the therapeutic team
• To support children, young people and families after a disclosure of child sexual abuse has been made to police.
• Working in a flexible and responsive way with both adults and children to deliver professional, emotional and practical support that meets their individual needs.
