Teaching Assistant for 1 year contract in 'Outstanding' rated school with potential to go permanent
Your new company
Hays Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a 'Outstanding' rated primary school in Wigan, who are seeking a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, starting from September and continue through to the end of the academic year. This position could also go permanent for the right candidate. The school is located in Wigan, close to the town centre with excellent public transport links and secure parking for staff. The school is highly regarded, with brilliant facilities and a friendly nature. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher to get an understanding of what the career entails as well as becoming familiar with the curriculum.
Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include supervising activities in the classroom and supporting pupils who need learning support. You will also be required to assist the teacher with administrative duties such as photocopying and marking. Additionally, you may be required to support pupils outside the classroom in 1:1s or focus group sessions, or supervise lunch or break duty.
What you'll need to succeed
