Supportive school based in Ormskirk seeking Teaching Assistant for either daily supply or long term position

This secondary school in Ormskirk is looking for a hard-working, devoted Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their classes starting immediately. There would be an option for either a daily supply role or a long-term position within the school, for a confident and creative Teaching Assistant. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring Teaching Assistant or Teacher to get an understanding of what the career entails as well as becoming familiar with the curriculum.


Your new role
As part of your role, you will supervise and provide particular support for identified students, in 1:1, group or whole class situations, ensuring their safety and access to learning. You will assist in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies, to ensure the provision supports each identified student's learning needs. You will also liaise with members of staff and become part of the team at school, while being a role model that students need and look up to.


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for dynamic, dedicated and passionate individuals who are considering a career in secondary education. You will have previous experience working with children in either a paid or voluntary setting and are wanting to make a difference, and to strengthen the school's future workforce. You will have highly effective written and verbal communication, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
