Description
Are you ready to rip up the rulebook and do things differently? Could you be the bridge between grant funders and young people, engaging them in the living, breathing life of a vibrant youth zone?
Then this is the perfect Grants and Trusts Manager role for you.
£27,789-£30,222 pro rata
Part time, 24 hours per week
To be worked completely flexibly over 7 days
Location: Hybrid, ideally weekly presence at Gorton site
Manchester's HideOut Youth Zone (part of the Onside network) is a charity dedicated to providing three things which all young people need and deserve - somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
Through a state-off-the-art £6.6 million building and matching facilities - plus a brand-new capital development planned for Salford - young people are welcomed by friendly, qualified staff and committed volunteers. Open 7 days a week, everyday includes fun and engaging activities, as well as employability workshops to help young people get into employment, education or training.
About the roleYou'll carve out not only a programme of income, but also be involved across the organisation to identify opportunities to align core offer with grant making bodies.
This is about doing things differently and making the role your own.
You'll know how and when to involve Board members, the CEO, youth work colleagues, and young people in fundraising.
This definitely isn't about working in silo with a pre-prepared list of fundable projects.
You'll weave your magic (knowledge and skills) to support, shape and influence internally, generating opportunities for funders to be genuinely involved in the fabric of the charity's future.
About the personWe're looking for an experienced income generator with a track-record of raising at least five figures (ideally multi-year support) from grants and trusts.
You're an exceptional communicator, able to create and craft impactful cases for support.
You take pipelining and stewardship seriously, with a nuanced understanding of interplay between the two.
You see the potential of young people and would love to act as a positive role model at HideOut.
To apply, please submit a profile or CV initially to Amelia Lee at Charity People who is ready and waiting to tell you more.
Deadline: 9am on Monday 5th September
Interview dates to be confirmed
