Help us make Oxfordshire an even better place to live and work.
Are you a passionate Senior Leader looking for a new opportunity working within a creative, flexible, confident, and ambitious organisation?
If you would like to join a team which is innovative, supportive and promotes the development of your skills in Adult Social Care then Oxfordshire is the place for you.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for 12 months to join the adult social care senior management team in Oxfordshire with lead responsibility for adults of working age and direct responsibility for the East Locality team, the Learning Disability and Autism Community Connections team, the Moving into Adulthood team and the Sensory Impairment team with additional operational leads for the Learning Disabilities Mortalities Review (LeDeR) and social care in Her Majesty’s Prison Service in Oxfordshire.
This is an opportunity to work with an enthusiastic and dynamic multi-professional workforce and to drive strategic change and to make a real difference to the outcomes for the people we support.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively across adult social care, children’s services and partner agencies to support and promote strong communities, making a real difference to the people and communities we serve, now, and for the future, whilst ensuring that we are delivering value for money. Support is delivered through a strength-based approach to create opportunities, build resilience and long-term support networks so that people live their lives as successfully, independently and as safely as possible.
About you
We are looking for someone with a sound knowledge and experience of leading and managing teams and projects to deliver change in a complex environment. The ability to develop constructive relationships with partners and stakeholders within the Council, people who use services, family carers, the NHS and the wider public, voluntary and private sector is essential.
