Part-Time Arabic Speaking Teaching Assistant in Cardiff. September Start.
Your new School
Hays are recruiting a Part-Time Arabic Speaking SEN Teaching Assistant in Cardiff for an English-medium Secondary School which caters for pupils aged 11 to 18. This role shall be for mornings only. The School is well respected and has a positive relationship with the local community. The staff strive to support the pupils to the best of their abilities, allowing them to develop and reach their full potential.
Your new role
The role is confirmed long-term for a September start, working 5 mornings a week. Duties relating to this role include but are not limited to:
- Supporting a pupil with additional learning needs.
- Translating between Arabic and English.
- Supporting a fellow Teaching Assistant.
- Supporting with the implementation and delivery of lesson plans.
- Ensuring that pupils are engaged with their work.
- Working closely as part of an efficient teaching staff team.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and enjoyable learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, it is required that you possess at least 40 days of relevant experience working or volunteering within a School over the course of the last 2 - 3 years, as well as the ability to speak both English and Arabic. Some of the key attributes and skills needed for this role include empathy, calmness, respect, dedication, and patience. Further desired traits include responsiveness, problem-solving skills, commitment, and a high degree of motivation.
