Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Coordinator to join the team.
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Salary: £19,940 - £20,673 pa FTE
Actual Salary: £17,064 - £17,691 pa
Job Type: Part-Time, Fixed-Term (9 months until 26 June 2023)
Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Start Date: 26 September 2022

Safeguarding Coordinator - The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the team with experience of working in a Safeguarding/Child Protection role. This will be working across our two campuses.
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the responses to safeguarding cases as they are referred to the Safeguarding Team and for ensuring that all safeguarding activities are recorded correctly. You will liaise with schools and other educational establishments to ensure all student safeguarding records are up to date and processed in accordance with GDPR.
Safeguarding Coordinator - Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the My Concern system
- Act as a member of the Safeguarding Team
- Maintain records on students and activities undertaken
- Support staff by acting as one of the primary contact points for staff who have concerns about students
Safeguarding Coordinator - Qualifications and experience required:
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and mathematics
- Hold at least a level 3 Safeguarding Qualification
- Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ProMonitor
- Experience of working in a Safeguarding/Child Protection role
- Significant experience working in a related field such as youth work, social services, counselling, youth justice
- Knowledge of referral systems to external agencies
