Description

The primary focus of this role is to manage digital communications at What Works for Children's Social Care: planning, creating and evaluating digital content including social media.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will suggest, commission, create, review and publish content that is engaging and impactful, in order to reach our key audiences in ways which resonate with them.

You will work closely with everyone in the organisation, in particular in the Policy and Communications teams, to make sure outputs support key messages and policy aims, and reach our key audiences in ways which resonate with them.

The Person

  • Proven experience of digital and/or social media communications skills gained ina similar role, including evaluation
  • Demonstrable skills in design, video and/or animation
  • Experience in the use of Adobe Creative Suite programmes
  • Ability to work across a range of projects with competing demands
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience of creating content for a wide range of audiences and purposes
  • Experience of website management (desirable) Knowledge of the children’s social care sector (desirable)
  • Interest in evidence-based policy and solutions (desirable)

Initial Terms and Conditions of Appointment

  • Remuneration: Circa £30,000k plus excellent benefits for senior officer role (or £25,000 for officer role)
  • Time Commitment: Full time role (37.5 hours per week). We will also consider secondments
  • Location: Central London/hybrid – 2 days a week in our Westminster office. Travel around England may be required occasionally
  • Term: 12 months
  • Other: Reports to WWCSC Head of Communications This role is not a public appointment
