The Finance Consulting and Transformation team within PwC’s Financial Services (FS) cluster advises leading FS providers on a wide variety of Finance Transformation programmes including performance management, shared services, outsourcing, process redesign, target operation model design and systems transformation with particular focus from our clients in looking for ways to meet the current regulatory and reporting challenges. Our team includes both broad FS practitioners and specialists in Insurance, Banking and/or Asset Management and candidates from all these areas are required.

A career within Finance Transformation, will provide the opportunity to work alongside CEOs, CFOs, controllers and treasurers to optimise the structure of their finance functions, transforming the function from back office to that of a valued business partner, improving their contribution to the business.

• Addressing the challenges of achieving increasingly demanding standards of control and reporting whilst continuously improving efficiency and quality.
• Finance vision, strategy and operating model including multi-function shared services/outsourcing
• Finance organisation design including developing future workforce models with remote working, virtual teams, collaboration technology and a more global approach
• Finance function process improvement including digital process modelling, automation, workflow, RPA
• Finance cost reduction, bringing insight to the client on how to improve operational efficiency and reduce cost and helping the client manage to the outcome
• Enterprise performance management including planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Finance IT strategy and architecture - including embedding applicable digital technologies.

Experience Required

In support of our growth, we are currently recruiting Senior Associates with Finance Transformation experience within Financial Services. Joining our team as a Senior Associate, we would expect you to have experience large change projects, preferably within a major blue chip or consulting environment. This role will be mainly client-based, developing teams and leading/ supporting transformational work and change engagements as well as some business development responsibilities. Skills and experience will ideally cover a selection of the following factors, however, please note we do not required candidate to have experience in all of these factors:

• A delivery track record of leading workstreams within complex Finance transformation projects within a Financial Services environment (Banking, Insurance, Wealth Management etc)
• Experienced in being a member within a consulting and/or professional services team, with the ability to work, present and influence downstream and upstream, advising management (internal & external) on alternative solutions and risks.
• Experienced in project, financial management, process reengineering, technical, problem identification and analytical skills - with demonstrable experience in at least one of these areas
• An understanding on the impact of regulations within the finance function across FS. Ideally, some exposure to one or more of IFRS 17, IFRS 9, Solvency II, Basel III, SOx, GDPR, ESG standards (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB, TCFD)
