Description
The starting salary for this role is £46,634 per annum based on a 36 hour working week. This position is offered as an 18 month fixed-term or secondment opportunity.
This role is open toagile or hybrid workingmeaning you aren't required in the office 5 days a week. Fundamentally this is about working practice and goes beyond the location in which we work – having the freedom and flexibility to work when and where as needed.
Our focus on results, outcomes and collaboration is enabled by high levels of trust and accountability in our people. We support our people to work where they are most effective, this can be remotely from a variety of locations including SCC offices, home or any other suitable location. Our Team base is Woodhatch Place in Reigate where you and your colleagues can come together as and when needed.
The Role
The Leadership and Talent Team, in Surrey County Council’s People and Change (HROD) Service are looking for two experienced and organised Talent Programme Managers to help drive forward some high profile and ambitious Strategic Talent development programmes.

With a packed portfolio across the team and wider People and Change service we are looking for two Programme Managers who can lead on the scoping, planning and implementation of the following two priority areas:
- Developing Leadership Capability for the future through the development of a Leadership Academy and Framework to develop healthy and inclusive pipelines of leadership talent at all levels, from Aspiring Manager to Future Directors
- Talent Management and Succession Planning through the scoping, design and implementation of an inclusive Talent Management system (system and processes) which promotes internal career progression and mobilises talent across the council and local public sector system
