Description
IT Support Engineer
Our client is looking for a talented IT Support Engineer.
They want to recruit someone with a demonstrable background in working on a busy fast-paced support desk and leading projects.
If that's you then you could be exactly what they're looking for.
In the IT Support Engineer role you'll be responsible for working on their support desk and leading projects on a rota basis. You will be required to monitor tickets, alerts and security incidents, actioning these as appropriate. You will also take responsibility for both small and large projects such as Wi-Fi installs, phone system migrations, SharePoint migrations and Intune deployments.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Monitoring tickets, alerts and security incidents
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
- Answering incoming client queries
- Preparing client systems, hardware and software for installation
- Attending client sites to install new systems, solutions and providing support
- Deploying new client onboarding
- Performing IT Security audits due to breaches and cyber attacks
- Scoping and implementing project work such as Microsoft 365 migrations, network installations, server migrations and data migrations
The standard working hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm. Overtime and weekend work may also be required on an as-required basis.
The ideal candidate for this IT Support Engineer role will have relevant experience of working on a busy and fast-paced support desk. You'll also need experience of Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, Azure and Active Directory.
In addition, you'll need the following:
- The ability to work well in face-paced environments
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and how to communicate clearly and politely
- Experience in liaising with clients, both in person and remotely

Basic salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Overtime: You'll also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role
