This is a permanent role, based in Central Edinburgh, paying £20-25k per annum depending on experience

This is a hybrid work in office/work from home position.

The Role:

We're looking for a analytical graduate to join our Data Governance team to work as a Reconciliations Analyst. Your ream is responsible for ensuring clients' assets are correctly reported and FCA guidelines are adhered to effectively.

Team members are responsible for performing cash & custody reconciliations and reporting reconciliation exceptions to the business and assisting in the remediation of these breaks if required. They are also responsible for undertaking oversight activities across the Operations area of the company.

This role involves high attention to detail and risk awareness, the team are responsible for maintaining key relationships across the business, including Risk and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the completion of daily internal, external and record keeping reconciliations
  • Effectively manage and monitor all outstanding reconciliation breaks
  • Assist with reducing the number of risk events within the business
  • Review reconciliation breaks with owners to ensure any potential CASS impact is escalated and raised with the Risk team
  • Assisting internal and external clients with the timely clearing of reconciliation breaks
  • Ensure that all breaks are clearly updated and assigned to the correct teams
  • Manage and maintain relationships with third party service providers
  • Logging Risk events where appropriate
  • Adhere to established processes and procedures
  • Attending weekly break review meetings with internal & external clients
  • Collating and distributing End of Day MI reports

The ideal candidates' attributes

  • Educated to graduate level - a STEM degree preferred
  • Holder of a Maths Alevel (or equivalent) at a B or higher
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to Engage Stakeholders
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Must be able to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Team Player
  • Communication skills, confident in dealing with all areas
  • Bonus:
    • Knowledge of Swift
    • Advanced excel skills
    • Previous CASS experience
    • Cash and Stock Reconciliations experience
    • Introduction to Securities and Investments via Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) qualification
    • Stakeholder management experience
