The Geological Society is a seeking to recruit a Director of Science and Engagement to bring leadership and management to the science programme, policy, education and outreach activities, media, online and external communications, conferences and events, and library services. They will build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations in the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will ideally be an Earth scientist with proven leadership and management skills in the areas listed above. They will be committed to the Society’s mission, vision and values, and will promote diversity, equality, and inclusion among the staff, membership and all the Society’s activities.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team of the Geological Society of London at a time of positive change. The salary range is £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
