Due to the growth of the Further Education (FE) Programmes across the Department of Health, Nursing and Physiotherapy at the university, there is an exciting opportunity to join our small, but innovative and forwarding thinking team as aLecturer in Health (Further Education).

The Role:

We are looking for colleagues who share our enthusiasm for learning and teaching, who are committed to developing and supporting learners working towards progression into Higher Education.

Working with the Programme Lead, the successful applicants will teach and assess learners on our existing programmes and new FE programmes in Health, including the hugely popular Access to Higher Education Programmes (Social Science and Health) and the new T level in Health.

The applicant will provide specialist input to ensure that Social Science and/or Health principles are embedded in theory and practical sessions, across the curricula.

The Lecturer will deliver high quality teaching and assessment across the programmes, and as a Personal Tutor, will monitor attendance, progression and provide individual support to learners to meet individual need requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience of teaching in the FE sector, and relevant prior experience of teaching in a practical Health or Social Care work environment as an educator, is essential for this role.
