Description

Is motivating event participants your superpower? Could your passion and enthusiasm inspire event participants to get involved in challenges and fundraising to help save young people's lives?

Working for the UK's leading charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide, the biggest killer of people aged 35, you agree with our client that suicide can be preventable with the right support and education.

As Events Officer, you'll help to fund the incredible HopelineUK ensuring it's staffed with highly-trained suicide prevention advisers. Events and fundraising activity also raise money for education and training to create suicide-safer communities, and press for change to current legislation.

Starting salary: £25,419 (increasing to £28,336 with increments)
Hours: 36 hours per week, flexible working or 4 days considered
Location: Hybrid, office in Warrington

About the role:

To allow this amazing charity to continue to provide and grow this vital support, you'll develop and maintain long-term and mutually beneficial relationships with volunteer fundraisers taking part in a wide range of events and challenges.

Your brilliant stewardship will support, motivate and inspire participants with creative and innovative fundraising and events ideas. You'll also be involved in organising, delivering and promoting in-house fundraising and awareness raising events.

About the person:

Ideally, you've already got some events experience. You're organised, passionate and have brilliant communication skills.

You're a team player; you roll up your sleeves and get involved to make things happen.

Many of our client's events supporters are people whose lives have been touched in some way by suicide, so we're looking for someone who is empathetic and has exceptional communication skills.

You'll also need to be highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities, have access to a car and a full UK driving license.

If you want to be part of the team, please send a copy of your profile or CV to Amelia Lee at Charity People for more information on how to apply.
