Job Description & Summary
The PwC Energy Team is recruiting. We are looking for market facing Senior Managers and Managers with experience in corporate tax to join us. Our Energy team operates across key markets nationally, with hubs in Aberdeen, Manchester, and London. You would be supporting existing Oil & Gas clients as they embark on their journey towards net zero, as well as working on renewables and other low carbon sector clients.
The Role
You will be attached to our Aberdeen office, but will work as part of our national Energy Tax team, giving you exposure to clients and deals across the UK. You will also get the chance to develop relationships with counterparts across the globe, given our international client base.

You will be responsible for the delivery of tax services to large Energy clients. Prior experience of the sector is not essential as you will receive full support from our team of Directors and Senior Managers.
Specific responsibilities include:
Working with our Director team to develop client relationships and identify opportunities for PwC
Managing a portfolio of Energy clients, being their primary contact for day-to-day tax matters
Management of other PwC teams (e.g., compliance) to ensure smooth delivery across all areas of corporate tax to your clients.
Varied advisory projects, including but not limited to - corporate restructuring, debt / equity reorganisations, corporate interest restriction, overseas and domestic permanent establishments, loss utilisation, etc
If desired, delivery of tax due diligence and structuring to support M&A activity, either on our existing clients or alongside our financial due diligence team
Leading a team of more junior staff to help them develop and grow
Staying current on sector developments and considering how this impacts our clients
Developing internal relationships with our wider Energy team’s line of services specialists
Managing our investment in client and related financial metrics.
