Description
An innovative charity with a start-up culture, Working Options in Education provides crucial opportunities for young people to fulfil their potential. We strongly believe that a diverse workforce is a thriving one, and we work with a range of businesses to help them access the true range of talent that exists in schools in the UK. Our ambition is to increase the number of students we support, communicating directly with young people (aged 14-19), to transform their aspirations and empowering them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
We are looking for a talented Marketing Manager to help us with this expansion, delivering on our social media, website, and relationship management. This is a great role for a creative and ambitious communications professional who has experience of delivering strategic content on various platforms, engaging new and existing partners. We welcome new ideas, and we are looking for a candidate who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
To be successful in this role, you will be a social media generalist who is comfortable creating engaging content, setting up and managing ad campaigns, but you will also be looking to branch out and own more areas of the marketing mix, including SEO, blog writing, website management, relationships management, corporate communications, and other digital ad platforms. You will be an autonomous self-starter, able to manage our part-time Marketing Assistant, and freelancers when required. We will support your growth into new areas and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop and learn from our trustees – successful businesspeople and entrepreneurs – through the job. You will be talented at bringing our work to life through compelling storytelling and impactful campaigns, will be able to increase engagement with our key audiences and work with colleagues to support our ambitious fundraising and income generation strategies. You will also hold the important responsibility of working with our Student Advisory Board, embedding the voices of young people from underserved communities across everything we do.
We work with brands such as ITV, BBC, Hundo and Google and over 400 industry volunteers, giving us access to great content to push out to inspire young people. This role will be central in devising creative campaigns involving video, imagery, and other inspirational content, to connect with young people and businesses. Our trustees are incredibly well-connected, and there are plenty of opportunities to create content using relevant, high-profile, and inspiring role models. We are looking for the right person to make the most of these opportunities to make young people take notice.
Home-based and flexible on location, this role will see you working closely with a tight-knit, talented team who are passionate about helping young people to succeed in the world of work.
