Driver Technician - Community Equipment Service
Location: Nottingham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work 5 days over 7 shift pattern. (Including every other Sat or Sun)

We have a Driver Technician position available within our Community Equipment Service (CES) based in our Nottingham Store.

The role of the Driver Technician is to deliver, assemble, demonstrate and collect equipment to and from both service user's homes and establishments, ensuring standards of service as specified by the company are met and where possible exceeded. Many service users are near end of life, so kindness and compassion are traits desired for anyone within the role.

The Driver Technicians will work closely with the Contract Supervisor/Team leader to contribute to the smooth operation of the Equipment Distribution Service. They will provide support to other members of the department ensuring that the operation complies with, and where possible, exceeds customer expectations, contractual arrangements, service levels and overall company requirements whilst delivering target profitability. Success in this role is also measured via operational Key Performance Indicators.


This role might be for you if...

  • You are self-assured and can build rapports with service users
  • You are a people person, able to work as part of a team supporting members of the public
  • You are a confident and safe driver with van driving experience and knowledge of Nottingham and surrounding area
  • You have driving experience as a multi-drop driver and dealing with the general public on a daily basis
  • You have good DIY skills and physically able to lift and carry loads (within the Health and Safety Manual Handling criteria)
