Lambeth Contextual Safeguarding Hub (Social Work Team Manager, Individual and Family Support Team)

We want Lambeth to be one of the safest places for children and young adults to grow, develop and thrive; can you help us deliver our vision?

We are establishing several exciting and innovative projects to address the risks children and young adults face outside of their homes. A key feature will be a new Contextual Safeguarding service hub that will work with multi-agency partners to realise our vision. The service has three teams, and we are seeking a social work qualified team manager to develop and lead practice in the Contextual Safeguarding Individual and Family Support team.

This multi-disciplinary team will provide support to young people aged 10-24. Professionals in this team will work alongside case holding practitioners, offering agreed programmes of support with children and young people, or their network. You will lead on the development of the key working service for young adults aged 18-24 , supporting them to access services, improve outcomes and safeguard them as they transition to adulthood.

The Team Manager is a pivotal role within our Contextual Safeguarding Hub and will be supported accordingly. The ideal candidates will need real passion, appropriate experience, and strong knowledge of the arrangements for safeguarding children and young adults. The postholders should have the confidence and credibility to work with multiple stakeholders, build strong partnerships to meet the needs and expectations of a diverse borough. Lambeth Council is a vibrant workplace in an iconic Borough, and this is a particularly exciting time to join the service.

Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an Enhanced Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Further information about the DBS can be found atwww.homeoffice.gov.uk/agencies-public-bodies/dbs

For more information, please contact Matt Comins, Head of Contextual Safeguarding via email, [email protected]

To apply, please complete an on-line application explicitly evidencing in the supporting statement field, how you meet the criteria marked with an 'A' on the job specification, along with uploading your CV.
