Description

This is a really exciting time to join Girlguiding. We have much to be proud of in our one hundred years of history, but we know that to remain vibrant and relevant to young people we must continually evolve.

We’ve begun a process of significant change: transforming the organisation so it can meet the challenges of the future by putting young people at the heart of our organisation. We’re on a mission to amplify the voices of girls and young women, so they can champion change in their own lives and the wider world; to build strong partnerships that can increase our reach and impact; and to increase the support we offer our amazing adult volunteers who deliver incredible experiences to young people across the UK every week.

We’re searching for an inquiring and forward-looking Product Owner who will ideally have some experience in eCommerce, CMS, and financial systems platforms.

At Girlguiding we’re changing our approach to working with our volunteers, members, and staff. We are proud to be over 110 years old and have constantly been changing throughout our time and our online store and trading arm is just starting on a change path in next step within our digital strategy.

Working as part of the trading and central digital teams, you will own the digital product aspects of our externally facing eCommerce webshop, the CMS, the payment funnel, and be the lead on the payment acquirer and verifier. However, in addition to that, you will have a consultative and supportive role with a broader digital upgrading within our fulfilment and warehouse technology platforms that allow us to process 300-400 orders per day.

You’ll work on all aspects of the product development lifecycle from engaging with key stakeholders and other users at different levels of the organisation or externally, gaining requirements to inform the direction, analysis from the key metrics and design with our trading partners based on the product vision. You’ll need an eye for detail, resilience, diligence, and tenacity with a good view of analysis, putting our users at the heart of decision making to ensure we improve the experience and therefore value for our members, parents, and volunteers based on feedback and insights from data.

Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. Girlguiding is proud to be part of the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme, a member of the Business Disability Forum, and a member of Time to Change. While Girlguiding’s young members may be women only, our staff team is mixed gender. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

We’re committed to supporting our staff to achieve a good work-life balance and offer flexible working options wherever we reasonably can. All staff are required to carry out our online health and safety training and complete a DSE risk assessment to ensure we can provide the support you require.
