Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Cancer Biology/Immunology of non-transmissible disease
School of Applied Sciences
We have an exciting opportunity for a cancer biologist or expert in the immunology of non-transmissible disease to join our friendly, inclusive and welcoming team at the University.
You will be joining a vibrant, multi-disciplinary team, committed to providing high-quality education to our students. This includes inspiring the next generation of biomedical graduates by adopting innovative approaches to teaching, informed by our research, to breed inquisitive thinkers capable of effective decision-making. We particularly encourage applications from individuals with a passion for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students biomedical science, ideally with expertise in cancer biology/immunology of non-transmissible disease and experience as a biomedical or clinical scientist.
To be successful in this post you will have:
- A good (1 or 2:1) degree and PhD in biomedical science or a closely related subject, particularly in the areas of cancer biology or immunology of non-transmissible disease. A track record of excellent research in biomedical sciences and a clear vision of how to establish a viable research programme with us. Experience of teaching and assessment in biosciences, with competent IT skills and effective use of IT for teaching and learning.
