Post Room Apprentice – The Role:

Start your career. Our Business Operations apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge, experience and a qualification whilst getting paid. You will be providing necessary support to ensure the smooth running of the office and get hands on experience at one of the world’s strongest international law firms.

We're looking for a Business Operations Apprentice to join our Manchester office. As a Business Operations Apprentice you will work in a fast-paced environment providing support across a range of Business Operations functions. You'll be a team player with a keenness to work together and support others, a flexible approach to work and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Post Room Apprentice – Key Responsibilities:

Post Room:

- Opening, sorting and distributing post to all members of the firm

- Receiving and delivering incoming courier packages

- Arranging for outgoing items to be sent by the most appropriate, cost effective and safest method

- Ensuring stationery units on all floors remain stocked in accordance with service levels.

Reprographics:

- Printing, scanning and photocopying documents

- Binding and finishing documents

- Assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of photocopying and associated equipment.

Archiving:

- Managing the processing, delivery and receipt of all incoming and outgoing files to the office

- Checking the completeness and accuracy of the data recorded on the file and deed databases

- Auditing the electronic recording system to ensure deeds are logged in/out and held correctly

- Auditing deeds in the office against the records held on the electronic system

- Completing monthly reports and audit procedures

- Managing the leaver process for deeds and file storage

Reception:

- Greeting visitors, informing the relevant person of the visitor's arrival and issuing visitor passes as required

- Supporting visitors with their requests

- Answering the phone and transferring calls to the relevant person

- Book meeting rooms and coordinate required support and services such as catering

- Maintaining the reception area

Post Room Apprentice – You:

- You will have a keen interest in building your knowledge, skills and experience in business operations activities as well as excellent listening and communication skills and the confident to deal with individuals professionally at all levels

- You will have a client focussed 'can-do' attitude and an understanding of the importance of delivering a high quality service at all times. Due to the busy and deadline-driven nature of this role

- You must have the organisational skills required to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly

- You must be reliable and punctual and keen to be part of a team. Strong administrative skills and attention to detail are essential
