Description

Our client is everyone's home for cancer care and we're looking for a brilliant Customer Engagement Officer to be part of the team. Award-winning architecture, inspired by nature with a nod to the great outdoors, makes for a haven of peace and tranquillity where those affected by cancer can access emotional, practical and social support from skilled professionals.

This special opportunity is a dream-come-true for someone motivated by seeing the difference their work makes, every single day. Working as part of a small and passionate fundraising team, we're looking for an organised customer service specialist who gets a buzz from helping and supporting people (and maybe even chatting with them over a brew!).

Salary: £20,134-£23,498, able to appoint across the band

Location: Based full-time at the beautiful centre in Cheltenham

Fantastic benefits package including 27 days holiday, rising to 30 after 5 years' service, and excellent pension scheme

About the role:

As an integral member of the Fundraising Team, you'll support the delivery of a wide range of fundraising activity that enables our client to keep providing free cancer support.

You'll welcome and support visitors within the centre with their fundraising, as well as in the local community, ensuring they are prepared and motivated. This includes being a first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, providing information and excellent supporter care - in person, on the telephone and via email.

You'll take ownership of day-to-day administration, supporting communication activity, recording data and maintaining effective online and offline systems. By supporting the team to plan, organise and manage daily admin functions, you'll help ensure that fundraising activity runs smoothly and effectively.

About you:

  • You pride yourself on exceptional customer experiences, have demonstrated brilliant customer care in previous roles, and are comfortable and confident engaging with people face-to-face.
  • You can navigate IT systems effectively, using Office to send emails, input data and help organise team diaries.
  • You're warm, friendly and chatty. You put people at ease, and also have the ability to get excited and motivated about the amazing possibilities for people to fundraise.

This is a fun, but busy role in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently, so you'll need to be organised and able to prioritise your own workload.

In return, our client offers a fantastic benefits package, flexibility, and the opportunity to grow your skillset, gaining unique experience to add to your future CV.

To apply: Please get in touch with a copy of your CV in the first instance to our North West consultant, Amelia Lee.

Deadline: Only because this role has been previously advertised, we will be recruiting on a rolling basis for this opportunity, so please get in touch ASAP if you are interested.
