Academics is working with a popular secondary school based on the Wirral who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant for a full-time role starting ASAP likely for the full academic year.

The school are keen to appoint a friendly and nurturing teaching assistant who has recent experience of supporting SEN pupils (aged 11-16) within a school setting.

Your new role

You will be responsible for supporting SEN pupils within a mainstream secondary school on a 1-1 or small group basis.

You will need to be nurturing, caring and pro-active and actively encourage access to the curriculum in a way that benefits the pupil and their needs focussing on progression and their classroom engagement.

The school are looking to appoint someone who is able to hit the ground running and make a real positive impact with their pupils.

You will need to have previous experience within a similar role and have great communication skills as you will be regularly communicating with students, teachers and parents.
