This role is based next to Chelsea Harbour and is hybrid with 3 days from office and 2 from home.

As a Media Planner you should identify which media platforms would best advertise a client's brand or product. Enable our clients to maximise the impact of their advertising campaigns through the use of a range of media.

Combine creative thinking with factual analysis to develop appropriate strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible.

Apply knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate mediums for building awareness of a client's brand. Bring Innovation and pro-activeness on client account.

You will work cross media platforms.

Main Tasks:

  • Manage and optimise all aspects of media campaigns: including television, radio as well as press and outdoor to deliver against targets
  • Offering relevant media channel plans for our clients
  • Understanding how each campaign is planned and bought, producing schedules and managing client’s media budgets
  • Negotiating and buying media placements, ensuring these are administered accurately and efficiently with all paperwork in place
  • Ensure smooth implementation and delivery of your campaigns, alerting your line manager to any broadcast issues and finding solutions
  • Preparing weekly/monthly campaign reporting sheets and writing informative insight to support these reports where possible
  • Constantly researching and developing new deals and innovative ideas
  • Providing constant support for Media Assistant
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with media owners and suppliers on a day-to-day level.
  • Demonstrating initiative to help the team across accounts where possible

Key Duties:

Preparation

  • working with the New Business and the account team or client to understand the client's business objectives and advertising strategy;
  • liaising with the creative team, clients to develop media strategies and campaigns;
  • making decisions on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns;
  • undertaking research and analysing data using specialist industry resources;
  • identifying target audiences analysing their characteristics, behaviour and media habits;
  • presenting proposals, including cost schedules, to Director/ Account Team or clients

Implementation

  • recommending the most appropriate types of media to use and the most effective time spans and locations;
  • working with colleagues, departments and digital buyers either in-house or in a specialist agency;
  • maintaining good contacts with media owners, such as TV, Radio, newspapers, magazines and new media ;
  • managing client relationships to build respect and trust in your judgement;
  • Use media tools to plan and buy and evaluate media plans & maintaining records;
  • evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns in order to inform future campaigns.
  • Negotiate and update MRA software system with new media and rates.
