Description

Learning Support Assistant - SEMH - Woking

Would you like to work with young people who need support with their social, emotional mental health? If so, this is the ideal opportunity for you.

The School:

The school is based in Woking and provides support for children aged 9-16 years who have a range of learning and behavioural needs due to social, emotional and mental health challenges. All students that attend the school have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) which details their specific needs in terms of the care and support they will have access to. The school provides a safe learning environment for children who suffer with high levels of anxiety which can result in a lack of focus and challenging behaviour.

The school also provides therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, speech and language therapies where these are part of the young person's EHCP. The curriculum team works closely with therapists to ensure the correct physical and emotional support is available at all times.

The school is undergoing a transformation and are looking forward to their brand new, state of the art building and facilities. With that in mind, it's a really exciting time to join.
