Commissioning Manager (Autism)
This newly-created post is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference for autistic adults in Surrey. We are looking for someone with the understanding, experience and flexibility to drive the transformation of health and social care services for autistic people in Surrey.
The role will focus on the ongoing development and implementation of the Surrey All-Age Autism Strategy. You will forge effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, residents and providers to deliver the objectives of the strategy across the service system and wider community, and really improve the experience of autistic people and family carers in Surrey. The development of Surrey’s Autism Strategy has involved autistic people and family carers at every stage. The postholder will continue this approach, ensuring positive engagement and communication around the work as it progresses.
You should understand the social care needs and accessible communication requirements of autistic adults, how services can support people effectively, and what may help prevent or reduce people’s need for social care support. Paying attention to all parts of the commissioning cycle, you will need to demonstrate their ability in commissioning, stakeholder management and programme management, with understanding of the Adult Social Care context in Surrey.
The measure of success of the post will be outcomes, demonstrating how joint commissioning improves financial, performance and quality outcomes while achieving improved health and wellbeing for autistic people and their family carers.
This role will be based at Fairmount House, Bull Hill, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 7AH. As an organisation we fully support agile and flexible working, however there may be the need to travel to meetings in locations across Surrey
