Join us as our Executive Director, Adults & Communities, and provide leadership and direction for the transformation of adult care in Southend, championing the delivery of our aspirations for all Southenders, especially our most vulnerable.

What difference can you make?

As part of our Corporate Management Team and our statutory DASS, your strategic leadership of change, improvement and partnerships will ensure we deliver on our aspirations for Southenders.

That means securing improvement of our operational services as well as delivering earlier interventions and better integration. We need to be ready for CQC Inspection and will look to you to establish the culture and ways of working to achieve this. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to lead the transformation of adult care services in the City, to embed our strength based, neighbourhood model and secure financial sustainability. You’ll also take forward our important culture, tourism and social inclusion agendas, which in a seaside destination like Southend have particular resonance.

What will your success mean? Our adults & communities directorate will be well placed to embrace the complex, ever changing landscape and help us achieve our 2050 Ambition. Our citizens will feel safe and secure and you will have helped protect and improve the quality of life for all Southenders, including our most vulnerable
