Charity People is pleased to have partnered with an inspiring Hospitals Charity in their search for a Community & Events Officer. This is an exciting role managing a variety of events such as local charity events, virtual events, engagement events (quizzes).
This Charity bring people together, to raise lifesaving funds for the South Coast's leading NHS provider. The hospital is a centre of excellent for research and provides a range of health services to over 1.9 million people.
Salary £25,565 - £31,534 depending on experience

About the role
You will join a small, ambitious, and high impact fundraising team who have recently doubled their income and remain on a trajectory of growth.
In this varied role you will manage the community fundraisers. Community events and charity-led events. You will develop relationships with those fundraising on the behalf of SHC to help maximise income whilst demonstrating excellent donor stewardship and supporter care. You will also engage and maintain relationships with individual fundraisers, hospital staff and community groups.
About you
We are looking for an experienced event fundraiser, preferably with event experience from the charity sector or the ability to demonstrate (paid or voluntary) experience working directly with members of the public. You will also have a proven track record of raising funds efficiently and effectively, and managing income and budget expenditure against targets.
You will be organised, adaptable and flexible when it comes to supporting other team members or completing duties outside of your role. Excellent verbal and written skills are also essential as you will need to be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
This role would suit an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic candidate, who would like the space to be creative with a range of exciting and innovative projects in the pipeline.
