Description
If you enjoy being part of a team which cares for and maintains our glorious historic buildings, keeping them an attractive visitor location, this role would be perfect for you.
This is an opportunity for someone who is looking to challenge themselves and work in a fast-paced and exciting role. Through the reset programme the Facilities management profession has gained more and more recognition within the National Trust and we are currently going through a period of transition where there is significant investment into improving and expanding the Facilities Management roles within portfolios.
This role will be ideal for those looking to take the next step on their career ladder as well for those who are looking for a sideways move into a new and exciting challenge. This role is open to all, and previous experience is not an essential prerequisite for the job as training and development will be provided. When starting a successful career in Facilities the most important factor is the ‘person’, the attitude rather than the experience. The role also covers looking after volunteers and Duty Manager responsibilities.
What it's like to work here
Famed for its picturesque location, organic walled garden with spring-flowering meadows, flamboyant resident peacocks and a changing programme of exclusive and high profile art and photography exhibitions, Nunnington Hall offers something for everyone to enjoy.
What you'll be doing
The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same so you’ll have to love variety. As well as supporting day to day operations, you’ll have the chance to support a variety of projects and offer your advice beyond your team. You’ll always champion best practice when it comes to business support, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something.

- Relevant experience in a Business Support environment; along with facilities or office supervision responsibility
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Great team player
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritise own workload
- Well organised and attention to detail
- Advanced IT Skills
