About Us:

Help coordinate vital council services across a high-profile London borough. At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we are focused on putting our residents and local businesses at the heart of every decision. From the policy decisions that we are making through to the services that we’re delivering, it’s vital that we put the needs of our community first. We want to give everyone a great quality of life, with access to a comfortable home, sustainable and desirable employment options, and the chance to live and work in a healthy and safe environment. And our Environment & Communities department plays a key role in achieving these goals.

The Role: You will provide crucial support to the managers and senior leaders of our Resilience team, which aims to coordinate council services to help residents in emergency situations. Working across a considerable breadth of the team’s activities, you will maintain our work programme trackers, organise meetings, manage key documents and produce reports. In turn, you will build vital trust in our service across the community, all while adding valuable experience to your personal record and making a real contribution to our transformation as a council. On top of your core administrative duties, you will deal with enquiries from partner organisations including the Police and the NHS. Arranging training and engagement sessions is also an important aspect of your work.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information.

About You:

We are looking for experience in administration, customer care, diary management and minute taking. You will be able to confidently handle a demanding workload, write accurate reports and collaborate with a wide range of people to achieve objectives. You should also be an excellent communicator who can deal with senior leaders and a wide range of partners. You should be energetic, enthusiastic and emotionally intelligent. In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent learning and development opportunities. Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s alone will not be considered for this role.
