Working with the Digital Innovation Manager and Creative Content Producer, you’ll be an excellent copywriter with experience of working in digital communications, fundraising or marketing. We’re looking for a creative person with plenty of ideas and initiative. You will have experience of working with website content management systems, social media and Canva.
You’ll play a key role in managing our social media channels and website content, bringing the stories of people affected by leprosy to life. You’ll also be involved in creating and sending email campaigns and building our presence online to reach new audiences.
The digital landscape has changed and grown dramatically over the last 18 months, and this is an exciting time to join our growing fundraising team as we seek to reach new audiences, innovate digitally and tell engaging stories about the people we support. You will be working with fun, lively and supportive colleagues who are passionate about ending leprosy.
The Leprosy Mission is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with more than 145 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. As a leading international Christian development charity, we work in 10 countries across Africa and Asia to defeat leprosy and transform lives.
We have a culture of growing and learning together, providing extensive training in fundraising and international development. You’ll also have exciting opportunities to visit projects overseas.
We are an explicitly Christian charity and part of your role is to communicate about our work to a variety of audiences including churches. Empathy with our ethos is essential.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any abuse, neglect and exploitation of all people. Successful candidates are expected to understand, sign and comply with all organisational policies, including our Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy. Recruitment will include criminal record checks and the collection of relevant references. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health assessment questionnaire.
We are committed to diversity and welcomes applications from appropriately qualified people from all sections of the community.
