Role: Counselling and Support Services Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part Time, 30 hours per week (worked as part of a 7-day service)/ job share considered
Salary: £40,622 - £45,954 per annum (pro rata)
Location: Compton, Wolverhampton

They are investing in a number of posts to enhance thier existing services in making every moment matter for their patients.
They are looking to recruit a Counselling and Support Services Manager to join the patient and carer support team. The team provide a counselling, psychotherapy and support services for patients, families, and carers. It is a service which aims to complement and enhance the care available to those with both with a rapidly deteriorating life advancing, chronic, incurable illness or those with complex symptom management that is affecting their living well.
You will be there to offer specialist knowledge, expertise and support to the patient and carer and, leadership and operational management to the team. You will work within a multidisciplinary model utilising national guidance from organisations such as NICE.
Service Manager Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Counselling or a related subject or equivalent experience relevant to the role
- Registration with a professional body
- Post registration training in relevant area of speciality or equivalent post qualification experience
- The ability to work alone and within a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Clinical Supervision Qualification or willingness to work toward
- As real passion and commitment to providing high quality palliative and end of life care service provision
- A drive to use Quality Improvement models to improve the patient care and experience and to place the patient at the heart of all actions.
- The ability to share learning with colleagues
- The ability to manage and mitigate risk
