Joining both forces’ senior management teams, you’ll take on a broad professional leadership portfolio that includes:

• Finance Estates & Facilities Transport Procurement Insurance Regional and Finance development

As the forces’ Chief Financial Officer you’ll have responsibility for the total combined force revenue and capital budget requirements of c£500m. Your expert professional contribution will help to ensure that we continue to achieve the very best value for our communities, and that sound strategic financial advice informs effective decision-making, and that risk is actively managed.

It’s essential that you are a qualified accountant and that your technical skills are further enhanced by a highly collaborative approach that enables you to foster excellent relationships across both forces, and to play your part in setting a leadership culture founded on high levels of support and challenge. We expect that you will already have experience in a financial leadership role, which could be in the public, private or voluntary sector, and that you can demonstrate a track record in supporting the drive for greater efficiencies through cultural and operational change programmes, and making full use of technology.
