Buxton Civic Association (BCA) is the leading environmental charity campaigning and working for the conservation and enhancement of the human and natural environment and heritage of Buxton. BCA responsibly manage natural and human heritage sites for the public benefit including Poole's Cavern, the most successful paying tourism attraction in Buxton.

BCA are seeking a dynamic CEO to help steer, manage and develop the organisation and take it to even greater levels of success. This is a unique opportunity to be based in the heart of the Peak District with stunning natural vistas, fresh country air and magnificent architecture on your doorstep. In this role you will be able to make a real difference to BCA and the beautiful town of Buxton and its people.

This is an exciting time to be joining BCA, you will be responsible for providing leadership, helping to develop, shape and implement BCA's strategic visions and operational plans. The CEO will lead on partnership and business development, and be an effective advocate for the charity. Working collaboratively with the Board and providing management, direction and inspiration for staff, and volunteers will be crucial to the success of this role.

We are seeking an ambitious CEO with proven management and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have experience of development and delivery of organisational strategy and a track record of growing an organisation and diversifying income streams and/or trading income. We are open to applications from candidates with a variety of backgrounds but experience ideally gained in the tourism, heritage, hospitality industries will be particularly advantageous to this role.
